All That Glitters Is Not Gold
Jewelry by June
In the early 1970s I took a silversmith course at Stowe High School, Stowe, VT. I supported myself for the next ten years through jewelry sales and teaching an independent course on jewelry at the Stowe Prep School. Following this I took up horseshoeing, a different type of metal working which I have since pursued.
In 1991, I graduated from Johnson State College, Johnson, VT with a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree. I returned to jewelry late 2003.
To my eye, jewelry is wearable sculpture. I feel that art and jewelry should be affordable. I use colored copper wire instead of silver wire to keep my prices down. However, most styles are available in Silver.
Bracelets and necklaces are one of a kind. Rings and earrings, due to the quantity that I sell, are often repeated with slight variations.
A selection of my jewelry is available at the following locations.
Buffalo Mountain COOP, Hardwick, VT
